Configuring a distributor calendar

Delivery days, cutoff types, and lead time — what they do.

Open any distributor from /manager/distributors and edit the calendar:

Delivery days

Toggle the weekday chips for the days the distributor delivers TO YOU. This may differ from their general capability — Corvelio might deliver Mon-Sat as a company but only Tue + Fri to your specific account. Use what's true for your account.

Cutoff type

  • Rolling — order any day before the cutoff time and it goes out for the next available delivery. Most common for high-volume suppliers.
  • Weekly — there's one fixed cutoff day per week. Common for smaller distributors that batch orders.

Cutoff time

The wall-clock time (in your local timezone) by which orders must be placed. Standard is something like 16:00 or 22:00 the night before.

Lead time (days)

Days from cutoff to delivery. Most distributors are 1 day. Some are 2-3 (long-haul or specialty).

Minimums

  • Min bottles — the minimum number of bottles per order. 0 if no bottle minimum.
  • Min order $ — the minimum dollar value per order. Common.

When Alba builds a proposal it always respects these. If even all your stock-to-par for that distributor is below minimum, Alba pads the proposal with extras (you'll see a "Below distributor minimum" notice on the option that explains the gap).
